Printing on a farm

Had the most amazing week at Sanborn Mills Farm assisting Sara Goodman with her Mordant Dyes workshop. We made cold and hot mordant baths, printed with mordants and natural dyes and made so many colorful dye baths. The weather was perfect and all the sprint daffodils were showing off. I was able to give a mini Cyanotype demo and we made prints of daffodils with the warm sun. There are so many wonderful classes at this historical farm including working with draft animals, blacksmithing, carpentry and of course everything textiles. The rooms smell like a pine forest and the meals are literally farm to table.
